Maka-Laskas Adventures

Home of Ubuntu Tourism

“I am because you are. Together we explore.”

The Beginning

Our Story

Maka-Laskas Adventures was born from a simple belief: travel should connect, uplift, and inspire.

Rooted in Uganda and inspired by the philosophy of Ubuntu, “I am because you are,” we set out to create a more human and meaningful way of experiencing Africa through cultural connection, responsible exploration, and shared understanding.

The name Maka-Laskas represents kindness and good fortune, reflecting our vision of travel grounded in empathy, cultural respect, conservation, and the power of human connection.

Through immersive journeys across East Africa, Maka-Laskas Adventures brings travelers closer to communities, landscapes, wildlife, traditions, and stories that reveal the deeper spirit of the continent. We believe travel is not simply about discovering new places, but about reconnecting with people, purpose, and the world around us.

“Where Kindness Guides the Journey, and Good Fortune Flows Through Connection.”
